Tornado F3 simulator cockpit (available for sale)
This is a unique oportunity to purchase an ex RAF Leeming Tornado F3 simulator cockpit as used by 11 sqn and 25 sqn aircrew.
This is a real cockpit section which was taken from the Panavia production line prior to conversion to a simulator by Rediffusion Simulation Ltd. The Initial cost of this section was £millions. All ribs stringers and structure is real with the external aluminium skin fastened on with quick release fastners to allow access. The base frame will be removed shortly to leave just the cockpit structure. The length of the cockpit is 496cm x 120cm width x 150cm height approx.
Internally, the cockpit is fairly stripped however instrument panels, frames, rudder pedals and column are all present. This could be a unique simulator project or a blank canvas for something else. We may be able to supply some parts to help complete it such as stick top, seat, moving map display etc. We are open to offers, please contact us if interested!
RAF Sepecat Jaguar Simulator / Display cockpit (sold)
This is the ex RAF Colishall Jaguar flight simulator cockpit section. When in service it was fitted on a full motion platform in the RAF Coltishall Jaguar pilot simulator training facility. The whole operational simulator originally cost a staggering £14 Million.
Currently non operational however has great potential for a simulator project!
The cockpit is very complete as per the pictures and includes a mk9 seat, stick, throttle box, HUD etc. It Contains many rare and hard to obtain modern military cockpit components!
The canopy is fully operational and fresh from a full repaint.
