F8 Crusader windscreen coffee table
280mm height x 600mm width x 1260mm length.
A stunning, unique, individual piece, hand crafted and beautifully made! An F8 Crusader fighter jet front windscreen, sat in a solid birch block coffee table.
The screen is in perfect condition, constructed from three layers of safety glass bonded together to form a glass sandwich or laminate which gives incredible strength. The screen is designed to withstand impact from birds and bullets (although I wouldn't like to be sat behind it to test this out!)
The F8 scored almost as many air victories in Vietnam against Migs as the F4 but received less fame for this. The aircraft had the nickname "The Last of The Gun Fighters" because it often used guns rather than missiles for air to air combat.
